The Most Pagan of Holidays

  1. Excessive gorging on food.
  2. Blatant American consumerism.
  3. A distinct lack of thanks.

Pessimist? No, I don't think so. I prefer the term "realist".

*most* pagan? hm.

although I do appreciate your pessimism.

This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for pessimists like me.

Yeah, I suppose there's Halloween too, where we dress up like demonic things and eat lots of sugar. I'm not sure which is worse.

Probably Halloween...because there's the greed factor (for candy).

Food is good for you though, probably not the consumerism. And the thanks depends on the person.

What about the holiday on May 4th?
